Here at Madani Group, we’re expert at all kinds of repairs and painting; we can even fix your soffit and fascia to look absolutely perfect. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “That sounds great but...what the heck are the soffit and fascia?”. It’s true, we can paint things on your house you didn’t even know were there! Before we get to work, though, let’s have a look at what the soffit and fascia are, and why they’re important to maintain.
|
Both of these parts of your home are tied in with the roof and eavestroughs. As you know, the roof of a home will hang over it’s walls and siding; that’s to create a slope so that snow and rain won’t accumulate on the top of your home, and will instead fall to the ground. As a result of this, every home has a section of roof overhang; the bottom part of this overhang is the soffit. If you go outside right now and look at the soffit, you’ll likely notice a bunch of tiny holes in it; don’t worry, this isn’t a sign the soffit is in need of repair. Rather, these holes are used to provide circulation in your attic; that helps remove moisture from the attic, which reduces the chances of mold or other growth in your home.

The fascia serves a less important function than the soffit, but is still useful; it’s the section that connects the soffit to the rest of the roof. While the soffit is the bottom of the overhang, and thus not visible to passers-by, the fascia plays an important role in curb appeal; it can be painted a variety of colours, and using it as a type of trim to create contrast is an excellent option.
Obviously, you don’t want your soffit and fascia to be full of cracks; not only is it unsightly, it can create problems with moisture entering into the structure and causing future damage. That’s particularly problematic because one of the main functions of the area is moisture control; rain and snow falling off the overhang, and circulation from the soffit. Repairing them yourself can also be a bit of a challenge; you have to get pretty high up to conduct the repairs, and you’ll want to be sure every area is properly patched, then painted. |
Madani Group is here to take that stress off of your mind; we’re experts at soffit and fascia repair and painting. We’ll help you pick out the right colour for your fascia, and we’ll make sure the paint can endure the elements; it’ll need to be flexible to resist the changes that come with all that moisture. We’ll patch up your soffit so it’s perfect, without using any substances that would stop the circulation of air to your attic. When it’s done, you’ll be pleased as punch that you refurbished something you didn’t even know you had.
