Neutral colors are famous for use on stucco houses. It makes your house stand out from the lot. Beige and tan colors are not dull. You can accentuate it with bright red potted plants along the sidewalk.
Earth colors. For a natural look choose earth colors. If an area with lush greeneries, go with olive green, or you may paint trim with this color. Just keep in mind that the color scheme must complement one another.
One aspect to consider is the quality of the paint applied. If you use high quality, it will prove to be durable. Use long-lasting brands in regions where paint will be subject to harsh environmental conditions.
Prepping should be considered too. If the stucco finish was not prepped, washed and cleaned carefully, good adherence won't be achieved.
Periodically cleaning the surface will help maintain the decorative plaster painting.
Your location is another factor to consider. If you are located in a mountainous area or an area with wide variety of climate, choose a color which blends with the environment.
In choosing the type of paint, do not use a glossy one. Stucco finish looks best with a flat and low sheen paint.
